About

The Kent County Public Library (KCPL) in Maryland offers a welcoming environment with three full-service branches (Chestertown, Galena, Rock Hall) and a computer lab in Worton. The Kent County Public Library is mainly funded by Kent County and also receives funds from the Eastern Shore Regional Library, Friends of the Library, Foundation for the Kent County Public Library and a variety of state and local grants.  Library services have expanded tremendously since the library's inception.  KCPL offers books, magazines, DVDs, eBooks & eAudiobooks, online databases, video games, board games, activity kits, and a dedicated Maryland Collection.  Available services at the Library include free high-speed internet, computer access, WiFi networks, faxing, scanning, printing, dedicated study room pods, job search guides and community resource guides.  The Kent County Public Library also offers two meeting rooms at its Chestertown branch, for use by the community for non-commercial, cultural, informational, educational, intellectual and civic purposes. It also often serves the community as a polling location during elections.
