Allegany County Library Storm Damage Support
As I’m sure you have heard, last week’s storm hit the town of Westernport in Allegany County very hard, damaging public infrastructure including the public library with flooding and high winds. The impact of these storms will be felt for several months to come and the financial resources needed to rebuild will be significant.
The Maryland Library Association supports the Allegany County Library System as they work to overcome the devastation caused by this storm. We call on our members to share information with your friends and library colleagues about rebuilding efforts and what will be needed to restore the library and services to the community.
Below are links on how to best support the Allegany County Library and the Georges Creek Communities at large. Please consider giving in support of our Western Maryland neighbors.
