Deadline for 2027 MLA|DLA Annual Conference Program Proposals Extended to October 28th!
The Maryland Library Association (MLA) and Delaware Library Association (DLA) seek program proposals for the 2027 MLA|DLA Annual Conference, May 5-7, 2027 at the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay in Cambridge, Maryland.
Has your organization recently cracked a particularly tough case? Have you followed the clues and discovered new or innovative solutions to better serve your patrons and community? The MLA|DLA Conference Planning Committee wants to hear about it! Please review our proposal submission guide and complete the form below to share what you’ve learned with your colleagues and library community!
We welcome presenters from all library types (academic, school, public, specialized, etc.) and prioritize amplifying underrepresented voices that have been historically marginalized due to race, gender identity, sexual orientation, ability, religious identity, economic background, age, or other factors.
Proposal deadline: October 28, 2026
Notifications: Notifications will be sent between mid-December and mid-January

Important: Only external speakers (those who are neither Maryland nor Delaware library employees) are eligible for honorariums, lodging, and travel reimbursement. These must be requested during proposal submission and cannot be added or increased later.
